Today is the last day of our LPC Gift Registry (ok let's be real, we'll probably keep it up all weekend) But starting Monday we begin purchasing, ordering and making the design official! Today the windows were being measured for blinds, the construction crew was digging the sprinkler line, paint was being touched up, inspections were going on, we were measuring the Kidzlink rooms to place all the tables, chairs, changing tables and clubhouse... Yesterday for the second day in a row, someone sponsored all 40 chairs! WOW x2! And this morning someone bought 10 more! Simultaneously as construction is going on, gifts and offerings were being contributed through our digital fundraiser. In Exodus 36 Moses tells of the story where the construction is going on to build the sanctuary and simultaneously the people continued to bring freewill offerings morning after morning, then Moses said "The people are bringing more than enough, to do the work of the Lord" Over these past 4 or so years, so many of you committed to our 212 campaign, the orange envelope and now the LPC gift registry. These campaigns were our 'morning after morning' and while we know there will always be more to do for this home of ours, we can rejoice and be proud of all the generosity and sacrificial giving that has taken place to open the doors of our new home. It is more than enough! Thank you for all your giving over the years! After the registry ends know that you can always give towards the building campaign on the LPC website under the giving tab. If you would like to offer something towards this fundraiser here is the link one more time! https://squareup.com/store/landing-place-church
We have 2 days left on our LPC Gift Registry! Yesterday someone sponsored all 40 chairs in ONE purchase! WOW! Total we have 221 paid for. PLUS majority of our list has been sponsored. We are truly fortunate to have such giving and generous members. PLUS we have had many people outside of our church who have donated as well. But it's not over! We still have a goal of 40 more chairs for today, or perhaps 229 by tomorrow 😁 Today's prayer request is this: We have inspections coming up, final touches and final construction going on. Please pray for our partners at the city who inspect our building, pray for the construction crews who are building us a safe building. Pray that nothing goes missed and that every detail is taken care of so that our building is in compliance and we are granted the certificate of occupancy very soon. We are thankful for all the contractors who had a hand in our building. May God bless them and their families. We are also thankful for our partners in this great city we serve. Join us in our last two days of fundraising for the building. Here is the link to our gift registry! https://squareup.com/store/landing-place-church

We have so much to Praise God for! We are on our last FIVE days of fundraising for our new HOME! NEXT WEEK we will be making our very FIRST furniture purchase as the office staff begins to make plans to MOVE IN! Our staff has always worked in a borrowed temporary space. The first church offices began with our Pastors meeting at the local Starbucks and in their homes. Then they moved into a house on the corner of 104th & Chambers and that was a little infested🐜🕷🐀🐁 with some of God's least favorite bugs and rodents! And it's no secret that we have been busting at the seams in our leased offices on Potomac. With each move, we are reminded of God's faithfulness and provision. He always gives exactly what is needed at the time. And while no one likes moving, this is an exciting time and we know God will help us in the transition. Will you take a minute to pray today for our LPC staff and volunteers who will begin packing and making plans to transition the office? Will you pray over their workload, their families and that they seek time of rest and prayer? BTW have you ever visited the staff page on the website...there are some fun facts about our staff! Did you learn something new about them? https://landingplacechurch.com/index.php/our-team Here is the registry link if you are able to contribute to our fundraiser in this final week! So far today we have had 10 chairs purchased for the sanctuary, a general donation and a Kidslink Table/Chair combo purchased. Thank you! https://landingplacechurch.com/index.php/our-team
This weekend was week 3 of our summer series Road Trip. This weekend we went with Jesus To the Lake. Why does God allow storms to come into our Lives? We learned that storms are going to happen, storms can be the thing that destroys us or saves us, depending on our response. Watch this weekends video to find out what to do when the storm is raging. https://www.landingplacechurch.com/index.php/messages?sapurl=LytmZGFmL2xiL21pLytwZnY3dG43P2JyYW5kaW5nPXRydWUmZW1iZWQ9dHJ1ZQ==

"Let the beloved of the LORD rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the LORD loves rests between his shoulders." - Deuteronomy 33:12 Today marks our last Father's Day services at Landmark. We know that many people have great stories about their fathers and have many reasons to celebrate today. But we also know that a church is a place where broken people come, and days like today, hurt people walk into our sanctuary. There are many who have felt abandoned and hurt by the earthly father in their life. Church is where we can remind the fatherless, that there is a Father in heaven with a greater plan and purpose for their life. Our church has an amazing Men's group, they meet on the first Saturday of every month. We have many small groups for men only. We have a phenomenal Celebrate Recovery group to help when there is brokenness that often stems from broken family relationships. Our building is going to offer more space and add to all of these ministries which will grow our opportunity to reach men, help Father's and heal those who feel fatherless. Today will you pray for theses ministries in our church that serve and help the men and fathers in our church? Will you ask God to continue to provide resources and leaders to grow these ministries? Yesterday the gift registry took a little Sabbath day 😏 but we still had 12 chairs sponsored! Today we start the morning with a 40 chair goal again to help us furnish our building and sanctuary. Each chair is $55 - use this link and click on Gathering Place. https://squareup.com/store/landing-place-church
Don’t forget to bring your Dad to church this weekend for a chance to win 1 of 3 Home Depot gift cards!!!
About 12 years or so ago, there was a church in a rural IL town that began fundraising to plant a church in a new community in Commerce City, CO. There was no prior relationship, no one anyone here that they knew, it was just the place that God said to go. Faithful church families from Crossroads Community Church raised money and sent out three of their own families to come to pioneer this land. The construction of our church began long ago before a shovel hit the ground on Chambers Road. They invested in faces they would never meet, names they would never know, stories they would never hear. What faith they had, what sacrifice they gave. They invested in each and every one of our faith journeys and here we are 12+ years later. Their investment has been multiplied 10 fold and more by a God who loves this city. Today when you talk to God will you tell him how thankful you are for people of yesterday who invested in our today? Will you ask Him to continue to bless Crossroads in IL and that each and every person who contributed would be blessed knowing they played a part in lives who live in a community so far away? Thank you! https://www.facebook.com/crossroadscn/ Yesterday we nearly hit our 40 Chair goal! 37 chairs. Today we start again. Today our 40 chair goal is not for today, it's an investment for someone who will come in 12 years from now. We saved you a seat. https://www.facebook.com/crossroadscn/

We are 2 chairs away from breaking 100! We start our new goal today of getting 40 chairs sponsored. Who is excited to go from 16" metal chairs to 20" padded chairs?! These metal chairs have been good to us but it's almost time to say goodbye! How many times has each been set up and taken down over the years?! Today, when you talk to God, will you say a prayer of gratitude for our set up and tear down teams over the years who have faithfully served? If you would like to sponsor a chair they are $55 each, and can be found on our LPC Gift Registry under Gathering Place: https://squareup.com/store/landing-place-church

Check out this video reel with more images from our design storyboard. In our new space the families and members of LPC will gather in this space for Small Groups, Men's breakfasts, Women's Collectives, Funerals, Weddings, Kids Night Out, VBS or summer camps and so much more! But beyond serving our own families, a church building in our community means there is a bedrock, a place to turn to when a community faces tragegy or hardship. Churches serve as a public service to communties - being transformed into food banks, emergency relief & outreach services. We aren't just building a structure, we're creating a home and a lighthouse for our community. It's exciting to think of all the 'stuff' we'd like to warm up our house, but behind it all, we know God has so much more planned for the use of our space. Today will you specifically pray about our church mission and specific calling on how to serve our community? Check out our gift registry at https://squareup.com/store/landing-place-church
